Biografia

I’m Cristina a second year PhD student of Engineering in Computer Science at La Sapienza University, advised by prof. Aris Anagnostopoulos and co-advised by prof. Stefano Leonardi.

My research interests orbit around Data Science and Computational Social Science with a particular interest on Wikipedia, a platform that I believe to be crucial for thinking about education in a new way. I see in education the radix for a good society that’s why I strongly believe it should be shaped according to the new shapes of our society and our way of being.

Currently, I’m pursuing my research at Brown University with prof. Eli Upfal. Particularly, I’m studying the possible presence of bias on Wikipedia underlying network.

Before joining the PhD program, I spent my second year of master at EPFL where I first experience research under the guidance of prof. Robert West. I got my master degree in Data Science from La Sapienza University of Rome, before I studied Statistics, Economics and Finance.

I love working with students and, in general, with people that are motivated an like thinking about problems that can be studied and tackled using the Data Science pipeline. For this reason, if you have an idea and want to collaborate, I’ll be more than happy to follo up with you (Please, feel more than free to contact me at my email).
