On 16 October 2012 at 2.00 p.m., Dr. Ir. Marco Aiello, appointed Professor of Distributed Systems at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Groningen will be holding his inaugural lecture entitled:
Spatially Distributed Information: From a Silly Chat to the Smart Grid
While most of his academic career has developed abroad, we are proud to consider Marco one of our Alumni. In fact he received his MS in Ingegneria Informatica from the University of Rome La Sapienza, magna cum laude, in February 1997, presenting a thesis titled The use of scripting languages for rapid prototyping. (in Italian) under the supervision of Prof. Maurizio Lenzerini.
